Booking Through Thursday

It’s a week or two later than you’d expect, and it may be almost a trite question, but … what were your favorite books from 2008?

Here's my list (I'm going to go with favorite reads, not just books oublished in 2008):

The Meaning of Night
The Sunne in Splendour
The House at Riverton
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
The Talented Mr. Ripley
The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
The Go-Between
The Forgotten Garden
The Sealed Letter
Company of Liars
The Glass of Time
Devil’s Brood
The Greatest Knight
Nefertiti

Nice choices.I agree about The House at Riverton and The Guernsey book. I think a lot of liked that last one. I haven't read your others but I do have a copy of The Talented Mr. Ripley on my shelves. I guess I should get to it. I enjoyed answering this one.

I would put The Glass of Time on my list too. I need to read Miss Pettigrew after watching the movie this past year.

My list would include 84 Charing Cross Road, A Vengeful Longing, Armadale and Northanger Abbey.

Oh, this is an awesome list. The Glass of Time is on my wishlist and I've got Company of Liars on my TBR pile. Can't wait to read them!

Horray for The Go-Between! We also share Guernsey on the 2008 list.
