Cover Deja-Vu # 8

The first cover is the UK edition of Away, by Jane Urquhart; the second is the US edition of John Harwood's The Seance, to be published next month. I'm not sure what the image is, but it's intriguing, isn't it?

how does this happen so often? seems crazy.
If I were the author I'd be so mad - someone obviously didn't do their research!

I believe the photographer is Julia Margaret Cameron--she lived during the Victorian period and was famous for her portraits. The image is very evocative, isn't it?

You know, I think all those ditto covers are a good indication of why authors should have a say when it comes to cover design.

The photo does seem to be appropriate for both books. I can't imagine how you find these.

It's not exactly the same, but I'm reminded of The French Lieutenant's Woman.
